3dU face control issue

I used [3dU face control] this product a couple times and liked it. But now, every time I open a character on which I used the face control, my reload of that figure hangs and I get an error message about how there is nothing for face control to attach to. Does anyone else have this issue and is there a way to stop it? Oh and I did use the remove face control tool.

What is the exact error message?

It says there is no genesis 9 figure selected. It's like it is trying to load the item even though I removed it.
