Unexpected Backdrop Issue

When I noticed that my backdrops were not filling theentire sceen (in the backgraound) anymore, I tried to figure out why, and adjust one.

At one point, the backdrop squeezed into a line, in the center of the screen.

I fixed that, but the backdrops still no longer fit the entire screen, as they used to.

WHATS MORE, they don't even appear, anymore.  Only a white background.

I've tried different settings; rebooted the program; any suggestions?

I'm not sure what the problem is.
