iray suddenly doesnt render anything.

title. even loading a mere cube doesnt cut it. this is what appears in the log (had to attach it because it was too long, despite being a fresh "file"

 

this (illegal etc etc ) error never appeared before updating daz, which i did via install manager.

i have a 1060ti, and when i put it on CPU rendering, it just freezes and i have to force daz to close via taskmanager. and i have 40 gbs of ram.

    Which version of the GPU drivers are you using?

    Could simply be out of memory, you have soem OutOf touch hairs there so it could be an unupdated product with a map in Transmitted Colour (depending on which version of DS, and so iray, this is), you have a ,tiff image file in there, so it could be the image library crash with some versions of Iray.

    oh damn, finally  got into my account (got a new pc) the thing is,despite having oot hairs, the pics rendered before i updated. regardless, thanks for that, i removed the transmited layers.

    It's been an issue for a while, but it was an Iray update that was the trigger - having a map there was always wrong (they were not used) but it did not cause a crash before that version of Iray.
