Recover Lost File Directory

Befuddled...

I've lost the preset file directories in Daz Studio and can't figure out how to get them to show again.

I was restructuring the directories (including renaming some) this morning and in the process all the previous file directories and icons (Character, Pose, Face, etc) have disapeared.
Now when I load a previously saved character Daz alerts me that the assets attached to the presaved character (hair, eyes, teeth etc) are missing.

I know where these files are in my directory structure but I can't seem to get Daz to accept them into the "My Daz 3D Library" (see pic).
Daz wants to download and reload the particular character files one by one.

How do I get the odd looking directory structure back again?

How are you usually installing products?

If with DIM or manual, you must not relocate Data and Runtime folder, as DS then don't know where stuff is.

    Hmmm.
Perhaps I wasn't clear in my question.

I'm not interested in why the files are missing. That part I pretty much figured out in the first 15 minutes.
What I asked for assistance in is relocating them back into the directory again.

If it matters however, I install new DAZ products typically with DIM

If you in DS go to Edit > Preferences > Content > Content Directory Manager and expand (click on the plus) Daz Studio Formats and Poser Formats, is the path listed there then identical to where your content is?

    Problem was resolved.

Got to thinking about the shader installation peculiarities regarding referencing of files and the reference above to the DIM (Daz Install Manager) and decided to try somthing with it.

However, when I went to open the DIM, I discovered it was gone as well.

As such I down loaded and relaoded the DIM and after starting it, discovered that it showed all my Daz files as still being installed properly.
Knowing this to not be true, I deleted a couple files and then re-loaded them again.

Daz re-installed the files in the proper directory and organized the directory with two (of the 8) of the proper, odd looking icons just as normal.
Having two of those icons back I too a leap of faith and using the DIM, deleted all the other Daz files showing and then re-installed them again.

I was concerned about over writing of my numerous other "non-Daz" files in the RUNTIME directorys but I figured the software would only OW the Daz files and I was right. That's all it changed. The other files were still intact.

End all was all my files are restored and the odd looking icons and file connections are re-installed again.

Apparently the files that initially showed up in the DIM were ghost references to the files that were actually missing from the proper directory.
Once all the files were re-loaded, the references re-aligned to the files in the proper directory, the directory icons re-appeard and the system was happy again.
