Question for dForce Demon Horse

https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-demon-horse-for-the-daz-horse-3

When I hit the simulation button, should the horse or the wings be selected? I have been having issues, like Daz crashing and the wings getting very distored.

Thank you for any advise!

    Well now it wont render. Error Rendering, everytime I try to render the demon horse.

    I think it is only the membranes that are dForce, and unless you are using the Simulate Selected command it doesn't matter what is selected. Make sure that the the wing mesh is not intersecting during the simulation - with itself or with other elements in the scene.

    Is the render error giving any kind of information about the nature of the rror? What about the log file (Help>Troubleshooting>View Log to open it, then try rendering and when you switch back to the log window it should offer to update to match the chnages made by DS, the error should be at or near the end).

    You don't have to select Wings, as Richard said, only membranes has dForce modifier from this product...and Wings are the "supportive frame" of the membranes.  But there're still other dForce items (hair, mane, taill fur...) on Horse 3, if you just want to simulate membranes, follow screenshot 1. If there's collision in between membranes and Horse 3 per se, follow screenshot 2.

    Well, I've never used it before but now I also have crash issue as OP had with latest Studio Driver 560.81... There's no related info. in DS log as usually this sort of crash writes nothing to DS log other than just simply crash.

    After some trouble-shooting, I found it's the product issue rather than Nvidia driver. If you delete DH Tail node or just Unfit it, everything will be fine (ss3). I presumed it could be a rigging issue... but actually it turned out to be an AutoHide issue with the original Horse 3's Tail. So, I redid AutoHide with correct Tail Faces selected and resaved Tail's figure asset, it works all fine with no issue. (ss4)

    So, filling a ticket will be needed~~

    Thank you Crosswind and Richard! This info is very helpful!

    Did you try to render? I get this warning in the log files:

    2024-08-25 07:34:46.803 [WARNING] :: \src\pluginsource\DzIrayRender\dzneuraymgr.cpp(376): Iray [WARNING] - API:DATABASE ::   1.0   API    db   warn : Transaction is released without being committed or aborted. Automatically aborting.
    2024-08-25 07:34:50.905 [INFO] :: Total Rendering Time: 5.58 seconds

    No idea what this means,  It just refuses to render the scene

    Pls carefully read my post above in which I explained the culprit of rendering issue. Have you deleted or unfit DH Tail before preview or render ? If you have, you still got this error ?

    OK I see, my apologies,  I thought with the tail you were addressing the deforce issue. I will try that with rendering. Thank you! :)

    Update: it worked! I unparented the tail and hid it, and now it will render! You are brilliant! Thank you so much! :)

    I also put in a ticket.
