Can you apply the LIE of FPE Monochrome Tattoos directly to Gen 9 figures?

I am looking at FPE Monochrome Tattoos for Genesis 9 in the shop and wonder if I can apply those LIE's directly of a Gen 9 figure without using a Geoshell, I mean they have the same UV right? Or can I apply them to a Geoshell that already has some other shader/material applied to it?

I want to minimize the use of Geoshell's as I use so many already and they add a lot of polygons, especially when you crank the SubD or with mutliple characters in a scene.

Unlike, for example, HD Body Burns 2, this product doesn't mention having a custom UV, so it's likely that you could apply them directly to the character manually.

They use the same UVs so you should be able to apply them. However, as it's set up, the tattoos apply in the cutout channel of the geoshell. So you would need to set it up so it applies to the base and translucency color maps as Lie (also you would need to invert the map to so it applies a black ink rather than the white mask, which you can do inside the LIE).
