Organising files in Daz3D

Hi all, newbee here.

Wondering if there is anyway to organise the content directory with everything in the same root folder with sub folders for wardrobe, lights ect?

I've downloaded loads of the freebies from the website and looking at my content directory its absolute chaos! So many folders everywhere with all types of lights, poses and figures in them with no sense of organisation.

Been trying to sort this for two days and google hasnt been any help either. I had to re-install Daz because I messed it up so badly trying to organise it the first time as nothing worked in the software. Literally any advice would be helpful...

Thanks in advance, Jessica.

Start at the categories tab.  Right click and the little box will pull up.  click on create subcategory. Type in the name you want to use for a main category.  Voila , you have created your category.  You can add as many as you like. and as far across as you want to.  For instance, I have Gen2g/ hair/ hair mats and might have mats from other sources listed under a particular hair too but its up to you how you organize it.  once you have your main categories you go to your regular my library (or poser my library or wherever dim has put things).  Pull up what you want to categorize (see my illustration with the charger horse. right click and hit categorize and then navigate to you new categorie and click on the check mark.  Edited to add that you can select everything in a category by right clicking and holding the mouse down and dragging it from top to bottom or vice versa.  whatever is lined in yellow will be copied to the new category
