Creating custom genesis 2 male genitalia textures

Due to a random set of circumstances I have to create a set of genital textures for a few G2M characters that did not have them in their sets. The issue I have is matching the figures hip texture with the genital hip texture, I'm assuming there must be an easy way to do this but I canot find a tutorial anywhere.

Any ideas / pointers?

  • I think most people use a 3D painting applciation - 3D Coat, Mari, ZBrush or even Blender - to deal with the seams around the GeoGraft's edges. You may need to allow changes to the body texture in those areas too in order to work effectively.

There isn't an easy way to do this, no. Depending on your skill set, there are a couple different ways to do this.

Depending on the UV set used by your figure, this tutorial may be of some assistance:

Note that you're restricted in the source UV sets for this; depending on how much you really really need to do this, you may need to do a map transfer on the character's torso to shift it to M5 (the only UV set common to both Genesis and Genesis 2 Male).

Alternatively, you can use one of the M4/M3 Poser-CR2-type genitalia sets and parent them to your figure's pelvis. Depending on what sort of body hair you have for it, that will take care of needing to blend the hip texture. There's a couple freebies called Hirogens and Ulfgens (the latter may need some downward scaling to appear realistic) that should still be available.

The following tutorial offers more information -- including where to get Hirogens and Ulfgens -- if you absolutely MUST have something conforming rather than parented:

If it's not going to be a very close view of the groinal area, I'd go for parenting one of these, myself. (And possibly even if it was, depending.)

    Hope these are helpful.
