Hair Anomaly

Can anyone explain why I might be getting paritcles form the hair on the forehead of my G3F figures? The little black bits on the forehead of the photo attached should not be there. All the parameters of the necks and the head are set so "limited" so I am not sure what is causing this sort of "bleeding" into the skin... Any ideas? Very annoying! Cheers.

Would be nicer if there was a larger image...because I can't tell for sure what the problem is from that image.

  • I wish i could get a larger pic for you but i think that is the best i can do. There are three black dots on her forehead. One in the middle and one on either side that should be pretty clearly visible against her skin...

Is that in the viewport or a render?

The reason I want a bigger pic is that there are a couple of possible causes and without being able to see it closer, it would be hard to say if it's a transparency map problem or the autofollow problem.

  • That is a render...

Do you mean that you do not have access to the original scene file anymore or your PC is temporarily unavailable, or do you mean you are unsure how to enlarge it?

If you mean you aren't sure how to enlarge it, you can zoom in/out on a selected object (such as the figure's head) using the mouse wheel or by left-click-and-drag on the magnifying glass icon in the viewport.  Just remember not to save your scene if you need the camera to remain where it was.  You can also adjust the size of the final render in the Render Settings pane under General, the Pixel Size W and H paramters.

  • Ok I see what you mean about just rendering with a closer camera, thats pretty obvious should have thought of that. In the mean time here is another render that has done the same thing that is a little closer (i think) with a huge black spot on the forehead and out of place hair on the left dipping in.
