Low resolution in scene window

I have recently upgraded from a creaky old Version 3 of the software, which I know well. I am very surprised at the fuzzy appearance of the characters in the scene window. V3 (from about 15 years ago) is crisp and sharp in when loading and posing, but in the very latest version, it looks blurry.

 

I can't find any settings to change. Using 32" HD (3840 x 2160), RTX 4090, Ryzen 9 7950x3d, so I don't think that its a hardware problem.

Any suggestions?

    Which Viewport Drawstyle are you using? There are quality settings in Edit>Preferences, in the Interface tab.
