That hair is so good, and the promos are pure Linday, a style you can't mistake. Agreed that Lindsay's gone completely overboard with quality & quantity. Regards, Richard

XI Anime Condominium looks nice, too bad it doesn't have an Iray version: it would make a great smallish and fully furnished flat.

I agree that it looks nice, if somewhat 'Retro-Modern' to be completely to my taste. Can the textures not be used with the Iray Uber shader? Be surprised if it's impossible when 22yo Poser V3 stuff can be converted to Iray.

    Regards,

    Richard

I'm sure it's possible but I would have been nice to have an Iray version like some of the recent Toon outfits.

  • Aiko 9 is out and from the promo sounds like you only own can use her as long as you remain a Premi member and only for them but you get her free

  • I totally forgot to do a shout-out to esha and say thank you for the colorful & cute toon stage construction kit, an insta-buy for me. heartheart That would have totally been my first wish for a toon environment, but I soooo did not expect that to actually happen. laugh It for sure saved me from pondering how to convert and kitbash other sets. Looking forward to playing around with it and trying out an animation soon. heart

    Getting ready to sing...

BS dForce Cloth Simulation Shaders look really useful for people like me who only kind-of-sort-of know how to use dForce. I do have both of the dForce Master sets, but I hardly ever use them because they're both quite unintuitive and they aren't in the smart content.

I also appreciate the BS dForce Cloth Simulation Shaders, they went into my cart quickly, along with https://www.daz3d.com/kolmio to add to my collection, https://www.daz3d.com/hedgerow-kit-3--fall-hawthorne-hedges-brambles-and-dogrose again for my plants collection and to use with USC2, and the absolutely gorgeous https://www.daz3d.com/fc2c-wicker-rattan-mr-shader-presets, there are some lovely wicker style chairs in the early SKUs that could be updated by them. To those PAs, my deepest thanks. Good stuff.

I finally remembered I had a cart and purchased it as I waited for a pizza to bake. Almost blew it.

Totally agree. When I watched it burn down, my heart broke. The cathedral is one of my favorite memories of Paris. To have a copy in my runtime by an artist is priceless. Thank you @The_Alchemist.

An incredible work. Fantastic. I hope he used the original Medival polygons and not just reprodcution polygons. laugh

Now he can work on the interior and then on to the Vatican. Hopefully done by early November. laugh

Reactionary Opinion Time: The card based version of OOT's latest hair is the prettier one.

I agree, but whichever people prefer it's great that we have a choice.

    laugh

I think they're both lovely and that OOT has done a wonderful job in creating the same style twice. I like the idea of having the same styles in strand- and card-based  flavours, and I would normally have bought both to play about the concept. But these sadly don't feel like normal times and I'm not really spending anything on new releases right now.

I do agree that the card-based hair looks better in the promos. I tend to think that strand-based hairs come too shiny out of the box, but you can tone them down and they have more simulation utility than card-based hairs.

Thanks, Richard, for the kind comments, and you're welcome, Mary. The interior is halfway done, so hopefully by the grand reopening in December!

Wasteland Outfit for Genesis 9 and 8 | Daz 3D   I have been a fan of Aeon Soul for a very long time..way back to RDNA times when the name was changed a few different times. This newest work, Wasteland Outfit is again, really nice. One part I don't like however, is the price. Aeon Soul's pricing has always been a bit higer, but the quality of work indeed deserves it, but now I think its getting a bit too high. The list on this prodict is $50. You also need the expansions, 2 so far, to make it overall complete, to get different texturing, well, I guess you don;t need both, but nice to have... close to $70 for both of them list. That's $120 for the set, and of yet, no bundle pricing. One other point is the practicallity of the woman's top. I'm not too sure living in the wasteland, someone would want half their body uncovered. Yeah, the genre demands bare midriff, I guess.

I would assume the card based one will work better withh the new filatoon shader work?

Not reactionary, based on an assessment of what you see. Felt the same with many SBH's myself, never seems as good as dForce cloth engine when I use it. Regards, Richard.

Well crumbs, thank you for your kind words aha, the Wicker set ended up being more a labour of love than a money maker but I'm glad I finished it aha, even if just one person buys it and is happy with it I can feel like it's a job well done! Thank you for that :)

I've spotted an error on the latest OOT hair product.
OOt Voluminous Wavy Bob Hair Strand-Based's simulations only work for the G9 version, but NOT on the G8 version.

More toon nonesense today .. that's me stopping buying stuff .. I only buy stuff during the week to get tokens to get cheaper character bundles on a Thursday .. Zero interest in toon stuff - there's not been a Character Bundle of note for nigh on 2 month

  • I'm glad we got that cleared up. Though can you remind me, just what did we clear up..? Regards, Richard.

I saw the same thing. When the promo highlights poke through, that is a warning sign. And the whole toon suit just looks loose and sloppy on the realistic character, not professional at all. And my pet peeve - that shapeless shirt collar! It looks OK to me on the toon shape with the FilaToon materials, though.

If any one else is having problems with dForce Lanah Hair for Genesis 9 fitting morphed charactes, AprilYSH is on the case and has posted a temporary fix adjustment here, until she can submit a real fix to Daz.

I don't think a shirt collar for a shirt/tie combo should look like a polo shirt collar.

With all this toon/anime stuff that's come out recently I'm feeling seen as a customer for the first time in a long time.

I bought it too, and I've waited a long time for someone to solve the problem of flat wicker in Daztopia. Thanks for always going above and beyond, @FC2C
