Mesh grabber - Select sub division faces?

Hello,
I have a G9, I maxed its "View SubD Level" to 3, so I can see all the newly created faces in the wireframe mode. But while I would like to select only a few of those subD faces, the Mesh Grabber selects the whole former faces.
How can I be more precise / accurate /specific with that tool?
Should I apply a specific parameter on the G9 so now all the subD faces are its real faces and the Mesh Grabber will work as intended?
Thanks!

SubD surfaces cannot be selected no matter by Geometry Editor or Mesh Grabber in DS... otherwise everyone can make HD mesh in DS with Mesh Grabber.
You can only select Base mesh.
While it is, at least as far as I know, true that we have to work on the base cage I am not sure you can infer anything much from that - as far as I know the same is broadly true, other than for creating multi-resolution morphs and such, in other applications (and certainly seems to have been the case, to my recollection, when the tools were first implemented).
In, for example, C4D, you can add a subdivision modifier to an object, and while that modifier is in place, you can only select base-resolution polygons. To access the higher-resolution polygons, you have to bake the subdivision, in essence making those higher-resolution polygons now the base resolution.
Pity. But thank you for your answers.
