Is this site a con?

I have just spent $49 on some Vue ecosystems, but they won't download. The Install Manager won't download. The messaging page asks for Department and Application yet there are no boxes to fill these in so the system rejects the form so I cannot contact Daz.

I live in the UK so don't much fancy calling on the telephone.

All I want is my products or a refund.

If I haven't heard from Daz in half an hour I shall file a claim with Paypal.

What a joke!!!

Can you please explain exactly what you mean?

You talk of the Messaging system? which messaging system.  If you need to file a support ticket, it is here http://www.daz3d.com/help/help-contact-us , reached by clicking the "Contact Us" button at the bottom of each page.

If youi want a refund, then you also need to file a support ticket, to Sales dept,  giving them the order number and Paypal transaction number in the relevant boxes and using Sales from the drop down list for Contact dept.

Daz 3D has a 30 day money back guarantee, but this is reached and applied for through the Help Desk,  not through the forums, which are for members.

Also if you give some details, or maybe screen shots of the Daz Install manager, showing the error messages that you are getting, then maybe someone reading the forums will be able to help you get it sorted out.  We do need information though, just saying it doesn't work is not enough for anyone to help you.

BTW have you tried looking for the files in your Product Library, where you can download them manually, without using the Download and Install Manager.

You access that by clicking the little blue man icon, at the top right of the page and going to Your Account.   once there you will see an index list across the top, and clicking on Product Library should bring you to this page  https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files

Since you specifically mentioned "Vue" I'm going to assume that the product you purchased requires the Vue software. Much like Bryce or Cararra content, it won't install unless you have the required software also installed.

I have made the same mistake in the past (purchased Cararra content but I don't have Cararra) it happens. Fortunately I've heard nothing but good about Daz's help desk. (I just decided not to return the eronously purchased items because I figure someday I might end up picking up the required software)

  • If you are using some kind of script blcoker that may be stopping the Zendesk page for the support ticket from working - there would normally be drop down lists for both contaxt department and application.

And remember, the offices are normally closed over weekends and holidays so except live action support during regular real life working hours.

I found out this morning that sometimes the ZenDesk page doesn't show the drop down boxes correctly.  A refresh on the page solved the problem, and they reappeared.
