Clothes skin poking in animations

Hi,

Virtually with any clothing item skin is poking during any animation. Some more, some less.
I tried running dforce but seems to make it worse.

Any suggestion on how to fix / what's causing this? When simply posed and rendered statically there's no poking.

Thank you!

I get pokethrough once in a while, but not in general. If I get them I either rerun the simulation with increased quality values (method and subframes), or a modifed pose in between if it looks like the clothing is stressed, or use mesh grabber to correct.

What is the mesh size in the clothing?

Is the pose far from default?

Are you using 'current frame' or 'timeline'?

It is vertexes that is used for collision check. Too much distance in between can cause pokethrough. If the pose is complex, the clothing might need more time to get settled, so in animated timeline you have more control over the process. You can in simulation setting increase the method to best, and increase number of subframes.

Trick one: if a garment's base mesh or Render SubD is denser than the figure, you may have more chance to get poke-thru. Try increasing Render SubD Leve of the figure and / or reducing Render SubD level of the garment even change the garment's Resolution Level to Base.

Trick two: add a Geo-shell to the figure, hide it, and set Collision Item of the garment to the Geoshell. As there's an offset distance in between the figure and the geo-shell, it can help a lot to prevent poke-thru.
