Installing every thing on new Machine (question)

SSD and HDD
the OS and a few games are going on the SSD, I was wondering if I should also have DS4.x installed on the SSD
I know if I have it on the HDD then I would not have any worries that the rest of the content being saved on the HDD, since there are plenty of room.
not getting a very large SSD, and I haven't own one, to really notice if I would experience much more of a difference to be concerned
if I go the route of SSD, what would be the steps needed to make sure the installs of the content goes to the HDD and just DS4.x is on the SSD ?

If you're installing use Daz Install Manager, go to Settings > Installation. The 2 lines at the top are where software is installed; add the path to where you want the content installed using the + button in the lower left. Make sure that after you add the new path you switch the Current Path to the new path.
thank you
sounds simple enough to do when the time comes
Hi Guys,
Thought I'd posted but it appears I hadn't. I've just set myself up on a new PC and copied all my old content across. Relative paths are unchanged and as far as I can see I've set DIM and Studio to look in the right place. Studio sees all my content, but DIM thinks there is nothing installed and I need to download it all again. Any hints on how to get DIM to see what it should already know. FWIW, the content database sizes in the content manager appear to be the same size as they used to be.
Second question: Is there a way to save my GUI layout from the old maching and import it into the new installation. Not a big deal but easier than mucking around hopefully.
Thanks
Lx
Did you copy the Install manager folder, particularly the Manifests folder, from the Public Documents folder on your old machine?
Hi Richard - probably not - I'll go sniffing. Sorry for the slow get-back. I used to get email notifications to prompt me looking and that seems to have stopped.
A star as always Richard. That was the answer.
