So if there are nude promos now, can we post tasteful nudes in the gallery??? (asking for a friend, LOL)
Currently the gallery and forum ruls are unchanged - and changing them would of course require a way of applying a filter similar to that in the store, which would be two lots of fairly substantial coding since (as far as I am aware) the galeries and forums use different systems..
If anyone could code it, the magnificent wizards at Daz could… But they do have a bit more on their plate.
Im not a fan of all of the skimp wear.. I think leaving something to the imagination is far more attractive. When I do buy clothes here, I am usually looking for period pieces or something specific from an era of time such as victorian, etc. --or just a plain old pair of boots and jeans, or jean cutoffs, etc. As with anything in life, TV-channel surfing, media, grocery store, etc. if you don't like it.. scroll past it being selective. It seems marketing has used sex to sell things, though, for a very long time, and really is that necessary?
I hope DAZ continues to make an effort to include normal everyday items and items from particular eras of time. I adore all of the Greek and Roman stuff, and growing up in Utah, the Native American items are next on my bucket list.

I feel so bad for the PAs who probably lose a lot to people who WOULD buy their stuff, if only they could find it...
Henceforth, whenever I see a far-too-spotted piece of clothing, I shall describe it as having an orgy of polka-dots. I really think that ought to he the default term for a group of them (like a murder of crows).
Er... Powerage is a major vendor of "them types" of products on Renderotica, and, as has already been noted, Zev0 has some products there as well, and both have been here for many years. Heck, it hasn't been that long since DAVO finally left the DAZ store.
Given that a large percentage of those are add-ons for products by a vendo who is not sold here, it seems unlikely. Though not as unlikely as THAT vendor showing up here. :D
Yes, now is the very latest time for the opt-out procedure, which I wished for much earlier. What sense does it make to have to keep trudging through endless product lists when you know for a fact that you would never buy certain items? That alone is a bit annoying, but with the new 'adult' tolerance, real sensitivities could be offended.

I'd agree, some of the thing flagged as Mature, I wouldn't say are even PG, (if we use the Movie ratings as a common reference point) but you have to error on the side of more sensitive than less.
While others should be flagged and I wouldn't want my young grandchildren seeing them.
If you went to collage for art, you most likely had a class in drawing the human form, and as I remember most of those models were in the buff.
Could some things be presented in a clay format, like body morphs, yes. but if you are showing off textures, that might not be possible. And some Textures applied over some morphs just look hideous.

You, can leave the filtering on, if you would rather not see those things; or if you don’t mind the content, choose to turn the filtering off.

I suppose it depends on where you rate on the Puridian Black and White are the only acceptable color's scale.
If they are using AI to choose, it could have used the location and size of the Dots, on the first picture and not the fact there were dots.

Most of the Playboy proctorial of Fifties and Sixty's are less shocking, than some of the Victoria Secret ads of today, or the Red Carpet of the VMA's. (I'm thinking Lil' Kim at the 1999 MTV Music Award (btw she was 25 at the time)) Some of of those early pictorials wouldn't even by considered racy by today's standards, but they were shocking in the Fifties.
Actually nude is rather boring, some are beautiful while others ... well are not as beautiful.
But add a little silk and lace, and it will amp up the spice, cause you add mystery. Why do you think Lingerie was invented and why it is so varied?
A suggestive drape, as just the right spot, while not displaying anything, can be for lewd then being naked, for it is suggestive.
As for the store being the place for such images?... Well I could say, what if I am looking for a texture and need to see what this Morp does with texture.
I know there is the 30 day return policy, but how many items do you actually in your content library, which you wish you could have return, after working with them, but the 30 days are up? I know I have a few.
Personally I'm hoping it gets more common that characters have promos showing them fully nude so we can see the whole texture before buying. It's not nice buying a character like Jada 8.1 to find out much later she has this weird butt darker coloring because you don't have the time to check every single thing you buy the moment you buy them. I'm not sure if I'd ask for a refund if I could because I like the face morph a lot, but still feels like paying too much for that because the skin for me is pretty much unusable as it is. And I'm sure there are many more cases like that I've forgotten or don't know about (Jada's is just the one I remember the most because I really liked the character a lot until I found out about that)

There's been speculation, but I don't think anybody knows for sure, and the PAs that have transitioned over here (the ones on the forums, at least) haven't said why.
Really shows how little attention I pay to butts that Jada's skin is one of my favorites, and I've never noticed.
My excuse for not noticing is that due to use of a replacement butt, I don't normally use that part of the textures:
... and I usually end up covering up the replacement butt anyway.
Darker butts are not uncommon with darker skin irl; so, that may be due to source textures. I can't imagine Jada being rejected on these grounds, poor girl.

Yes, that is true and I don't mind the tone variations she has overall, but the one on the butt just seems too harsh imho, unless she's wearing at least something like on the promos I feel it's way too harsh the transition from the butt to the legs. Sure, as you guys have established some people don't mind and that's fine but some like me will, so that's why we should be able to see the textures properly before buying. It's not a porn thing having some promos of the nude model, just full transparency on what we are paying for.
