IMPORTING MULTIPLE 3D OBJECTS IN DAZ AT ONCE
in New Users
Dearest,
I am wondering; is it possible to import multiple 3d .obj's into Daz 3d in one take? F.e. . when I open a folder that contains several objects, Daz wont let me select more than 1 , even not if the ' shift+click' or ''ctrl+click' is used......you know , just like selecting several image files etc. etc.
thnks for a reply in advance.
Kind regards

I don't believe this is supported. You could use the sample script for silent OBJ import and add to it a folder seelction routine and a loop to iterate over OBJ files in the folder. http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/scripting/api_reference/samples/file_io/import_obj_silent/start
ahaahaah, I have NO CLUE what this is supposed to be and what to do with it , obvious , some sort of script , but that is it for me.....
Anyway , I know now that importing more than 1 objects in the way I would like it is not possible.
I'll have a look at that script some day.
Thanks for the reply Richard.
I just drag and drop from the folder to the DS viewport, easier than doing the File > Import for every item. :)
Good idea... :) I'll do that . Thanks
cheers
Pete
I was pleasantly surprised that we could that and saves a lot of time. Oh you can only do one at a time,
