Replacing Props?

I have Gun 1 that auto-fits to the hand. I have Gun 2 I'd prefer to use that is not rigged that way and I don't want to spend two hours manuevering Gun 2 into place, where it still never looks right. Is there no tool to replace Gun 1 with Gun 2? I can copy poses onto figures, why not props?

You can copy the rotations and translations...then create a new pose from there.

Also 3dcheapskate has a script that may help.

It probably won't help with orientation, but a quick way to snap the gun to the hand is to turn off Parent in Place in the Change Parent dialogue, or in the Scene pane option menu if dragging-and-dropping there. There's also a Snap parent script in Scripts>Utilities.
