Daz studio 4.22 Renders looks different from the Daz 4.16?

Daz Studio 4.22 Renders look different from Daz 4.16? What's going on here?

It almost feels like Daz Studio 4.22 injects a slightly more reddish or some other color into the model sometimes. I'm not a photographer, so I can't comment on whether this is an improvement or a downgrade, but I'm not sure I like this or not. If someone with the technical knowledge to explain this to me, that'd be great.

All the settings are the same for both images. (same save file, lightning, HDRI, etc.), so technically both pictures need to look the same, right?

My GPU, RTX 3080, and my NVIDIA driver 531.79.

Does Daz Studio 4.22 have some type of compatibility issue with the 3000 series GPUs!?

If this is just an insignificant, silly thing to worry about, then sorry about that. I'm kind of sensitive to these types of things, and I do have a 4K 27-inch monitor, so it's hard to ignore even the smallest changes.

Oh, and sorry for the bland renders. I'm pretty new to all this.

Thank you.

  • I use the spectral render, and it seems that with every update they mess with it, in 4.22.016 skin in certain lighting has a green hue. for now im ditching 4.22.016 and going back to 4.2, as the latest version also is unstable on my 3090 and i cannot access the render tabs slider parameter options, wish they would have done a better job of this update, especially on the stability, i crash out every 30mins.

  • Thanks shedofjoy. I'll check if I have 4.22.016 or 4.2. I do also have 4.21 back up and will do check it too. And like you mentioned I guess you have to accept minor lightning changes with the latest version whether you like it or not. And for your crashing problem did you try some of the fixes here on the forum?

    Good day to you.
