Tips on holding objects

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone had any short cuts or tips to make grasping an object easier. I know the Grunt Method of manuvering the object near the hand/hand near the object and manuvering each finger and joint to close around said object. I was just hoping some Daz Whiz out there came up with a workaround so you don't have to spend a day trying to pose a hand grip. As always, any info would be greatly appreciated.

You could have a look at this : http://www.daz3d.com/get-a-grip-hand-poses-for-genesis-2-males

I don;t have it so I am not sure if it will work with other Genesis models quite as well.

There was another one called 'Hand Grip' but I bought it more than 6 years ago, and it was updated to work with DS3, it is no longer in the Store.

Posing properly is a tiring and long process, there are a few things to make it a bit easier: like on the parameters tab in the pose controls, go to hands, there you can put the whole hand in a grabbing position (complete figure must be selected) and there are some finished poses for hands out there. But to make it look good you will still have to go through every joint and adjust the bent et. In the new user contest we had the challenge to pick a picture from the net and imitate the pose with our DAZ figure. I found that it helps a lot for certain poses to see it on a foto to realise what is needed.

But in the end its quite rewarding to see things fit really.
