Hey folks,

when I try to render this cloth set (http://www.daz3d.com/pirate-for-genesis-and-genesis-2-males), I get horrible clipping errors. Also, the shaders and textures just don't look like they should. What am I doing wrong?

Sry if this is a stupid question, I dont know if there is something wrong with the settings as I am currently not working on my own computer.

  • Check the materials, I think you will find a preset to hide parts of the shirt when the coat is worn. Also check for "under coat" or similar morphs.

  • Nope. Also, the textures still look like cardboard...

There is an option in the shirt materials that fixes that (sleeveless)

Select the Coat, and set the Collisions to about 5.   Parameters pane Mesh Smoothing > Collision, set collision item to Shirt.

What are you rendering in, Iray?   It looks OK to me in a quick render.
