Just installed the app, but there are no packages in the list, there are 0 ready to install, and 0 installed.

How did you install? What exactly did you install? Do you mean Install Manager - if so you need to log in to your account, or manually download the zips for the content/aplications and place them in the Install Manager downloads folder.
Maybe the user is looking for content inside Daz Studio using Daz Connect. In which case, he needs to sign into his account from within Daz Studio. That can be setup in the Preferences to automatically log in, and download metadata, if desired.
