Do products for V4 work the same as Gen 2? If so, do they work then for Gen 3 the way that Gen 2 will conform to Gen 3? I guess what I am asking is "How do you define/What is a V4 product defined by?". I want to buy a V4 product clothing pack and use them on GF3...

V4 is an older figure, it is in Poser Format (CR2) and it has entirely different rigging to the Genesis range of figures. Out of the box, you can fit V4 clothing to Genesis (original) by using Autofit, which pops up automatically if you have Genesis selected in the Scene pane, and try to conform V4 clothing.
You can buy a clone for Autofit, to load V4 clothing directly onto Genesis 2 Female, and another for Genesis 3 Female. You could also go through the laborious process of saving the clothing from V4 which has been ahtofitted to Genesis, then apply that to G2F (there is a clone supplied with autofit from Genesis to G2F). You could then take that item, and apply it to G3F using the saved piece of G2F clothing, with me so far?
Much easier to just get the clones. I can't find a link for you at the moment, maybe someone else will help for now.

Long answer; Yes but...
None of my V4 Content fit (or Auto-fit) to Gen3Fem.
Maybe you can fit it manually but it is very tricky (for me).
The best results and the easiest way to fit (or Auto-fit) V4 Content Gen3Fem is if you have Genesis 2 Legacies for Genesis 3 Female made by Slosh (same for Gen3Male)

it isn`t as much complicated as it sounds; especially when you have the Clones or Shapes.
You can buy a V4 content (and use the momey back guarantee, if you can`t use it) or better get a free one and see if you can handle it.
I`m sure some people in the Forum give you a helping hand if you have problems. There is always someone who can help... you only have to ask.
well for now I cant even get 3rd part content installed on my Mac so thats issue number one. i have downloaded Rendoinstall 2.0 but I still can't figure it out so im really stuck. No 3rd party content for me. :(
seems very straight forward on a PC but not a Mac and the RendoInstall seems easy enough but I have never done 3rd part installation before so i have no idea what i supposed to go where etc. I tried doing it and nothing happened...
