How to save a LIE system layer preset.

How do I save preset that adds a second layer to an image through the LIE system without replacing existig image. Say I have a torso texture and I have a scar layer that I want to save out as a preset so I can apply it to any torso just by selecting surface and applying, which would add that scar layer.

    Have you tried File>Save as>Layered Image(s) Preset with the surface selected? That should work.

    That is what I was looking for. In case anyone else tries this make sure to delete the base image before saving out the layered preset. So if you have a the scar layer and the torso image. Delete the torso layer then save as layered image.
