Anatomical elements Wet Maps

Greetings,

I have just bought "Genesis 3 Females Wet Body Iray" and have applied the map to my model which has affected the entire body except the gential area. Any idea how I can get it to affect the genital area as well? Iray Uber Shader is/was applied prior to and after the wet map to everything. Many thanks.

For me, more worse, after applying the wet layers the whole genital area turns back to white. Even when i only attach a face wet layer. Very strange.

  • Aside from the genitals issue, how does the product look on other parts of the body? I was thinking of getting it. Is it easy to use? Looks good?

Highly recommended. Looks very realistic and a lot of ways to manipulate and customize the layers.

The genital geograft on Genesis 3 has its own separate map and separate surface area definition. With Genesis and Genesis 2, the genital geografts shared the SkinHip/Hips zone definition with the underlying figure (sort of), so you could get full coverage on the females and partial coverage on the males (under some circumstances, pasting surfaces to the SkinHip area); this is no longer the case. Because that area now has a completely separate map on its own geograft, the product doesn't work on the genital figures at all. It works just fine on the entire figure without the genitals applied.

The Wet Maps geometry shells for Genesis 3 should work just fine as long as you do not apply genitals to your character.

For the female characters, there may be morphs available to simulate the shape -- Shape Shift sort of has morphs for that area. Some of the female characters may also have morphs for that area, though I'm not sure which ones.

  • many thanks, that settles it. i will most like request a return of this product. what a bummer.

  • does anyone know anything about rendererotica? is it legit? cheers!

  • Renderotica is a real store, and has been around for a while.

  • cheers thank you

    Thank you vwrangler. Great explained.

I really hope, sice we live in 2000 plus, in the near future genitals will be a fixed part of all avatars.

On the other side i am very glad the female avatars have breasts and, wow, nipples!

OMG, thinking on all these feet fetishists and people who get aroused by hair :-0

Its a fact near 70% of all internet traffic is used for transmitting nude pics and movies.

Mankind, stop to lie with no reason immediately please :-D

Please don't let this devolve into a 'why aren't there', 'it's stupid'. 'I'm not offended, you shouldn't be' and any of the multitude of other complaints/reasons these things usally go down...there are reasons why they aren't included.  Daz hasn't stated exactly what they all are, but they are valid.  And Daz is entitled to run their business how they see fit.

If you mean "have genitals as part of the base mesh", that would be a problem for clothes, especially on male figures.

Now if you mean "having a genitals add-on bundled with the base figure", as mjc1016 stated that debate has been had many times already.

Am using the wound makeup artist and i also lost my Genesis 3 genitalia textures, is there a way to have the wound shell and also the genitalia textures?

There is a work around for this.  Basically, the problem comes because these products create a geometry shell around the figure, but only have setting for the base figure geometry.  They normally don't include maps and setting for GeoGrafted items..  You'll have the same problem if you use tails, hornes, or other GeoGrafted items.  The fix is to change the surfaces of the Geometry Shell, and copy the setting from Torso to G3MGenitalia_Genitalia.  (The surface in the shell is named 'ObjectName_SurfaceName', by the way, hence the double 'Genitalia'.)  Here's a quick walk thorugh using Rolling Water from the Wet Body for Iray G3M.

    1. Have your model with all GeoGrafted add-ons first.  For this example I've got G3M Male Genitalia since that was the OP asked about.
    2. Apply the GeoShell product.
    3. In the Scene tab select the Geoshell and expand it.  Look for the Torso and the GeoGrafted item, in this example, G3MGenitalia_Genitalia
    4. Select G3MGenitalia_Genitalia and apply the !Iray Uber Base shader, since it defaults to a 3Dlight shader.  If it doesn't take, make sure you have the GeoShell selected, not a parent item such as Genesis3Male.
    5. Select the Torso (or closest area) and Copy The Selected Surface(s) by right clicking.
    6. Select the G3MGenitalia_Genitalia and Paste To Selected Surfaces(s).

This is a quick fix.  It copies the settings from the torso on to the genitals.  Unfortunately, it also applies the maps from the torso which do not match the geometry of the gens.  If you want droplettes running down it, you'll have to create your own maps, or find someone who has (I don't know of any).  If your going to create one, I'd suggest hopping over to Renderotica and getting the free G3M Genital Texture Helper.  It's a prob with two UV maps that let you do a map transfer from a basic torso map to a gentialia UV.  Tutoria's included.  Not sure if I'm a allowed to link to ouside sites, but if you search "G3M Genital Texture Helper", you'll find it.

EDIT/ADDITION: Some of the shells may have Visibility Parameters that need to be turned on.  If you still have large white/blank areas after following the above steps, try selecting the GeoShell in the Scene tab and looking for Shell-->Visibility under the Parameters tab.  There may be several parameters that need to be switched On, normally one for each node of the GeoGraphed item.

No problem.  One thing I forgot to mention, Some of the shells have settings under the Parameters tab that may be turned off.  Select the GeoShell in the Scene Tab and check under Shell-->Visibility in the Parameter's tab.  There will likely be several On/Off parameters that may have to be switched.  For some products the correct options are already set.  For some they may not be.
