I downloaded hair in Daz 3D, but I want to remove a specific part.

I downloaded hair in Daz 3D, but I want to remove a specific part.

Pressing the delete key deletes the entire thing.

If I hide it and import it into Blender, the hidden parts are all visible,

and it's not possible to delete them in Blender.

How can I delete them without using the hiding function?

  • If you hide the bones their data will not be sent to the render engine. If you want to completely remove them the only real option is to delete the mesh (in an external editor or using the Geometry Editor) to create a new figure, saved as a separate entity (which will then not see newly added morphs or other updates to the original item). What is the end target here - why do you need to remove, rather than hide, the mesh?

The custom Bones you select are used for driving the linked hair (Face Groups) to move. If you're sure that you want to delete them...in Blender, switch to Edit mode, select the Bone(s) and hit Delete.

In DS, Alt + Shift + J, select a Bone, RMB click menu - Delete - Delete Bone, one by one.  Or use a free script to delete "selected bones" - http://www.mikededes.com/delete-selected-bones/ ; Then export to Blender.

I'm trying to send this hair to Blender. All hidden layers are displayed in Blender. I must delete them in Daz Studio.
