crashes and OTT hair

I saw a helpful You/tube video on how the OTT hair in the studio 4.22 bug causes crashes.  there is an easy fix but now I get the crashes and that fix does not seem to work. It keeps crashing. 

My question is when will the bug in 4.22 re the certain hairstyles be fixed? 

And is there anything else I can do to prevent the hated crashes?

    I believe most of the hairs were fixed early last year. And from what I read it's not a bug in Daz but an iray issue anyway.

    Make sure you have updated all your OOT hairs and if you soley use DIM and install them to one base library then you may only need to update one hair to fix them all. If not remove the image map from Transmitted Colour.

    Strictly speaking it is a bug, or at least error, in the out of Touch shader - which I ray is not handling gracefully.

    The issue is a shared file, used by all OoT hairs with that shader - make suer you don't have an old, unupdated file in another content directory and that you did not install one of the (few) unupdated products last (if you did, try reinstalling one of the fixed products). If you use connect 9install through daz Studio itself) then the question is which copy of the file is being loaded - I did write a script for that, but I can't find a copy on my machine or recall where I posted it on the forum.
