    My grandma just died.

I'm very sorry to hear that.  I hope that you are okay. I wish there were something I could say that could make you feel better or ease your loss... The best I can do is make dopey jokes and for the most part that's not useful in this situation... As you can see, there are many folks here who care about you, so if you are feeling down, please let us know... We'll try our best to cheer you up or distract you. Be well, Miss Wolf.

Thank you!  Work was hard today even though I did not do much.  Just pretending to be happy was the hard part.

I pretend to be happy a lot... it's a lot easier when you are crazy like me because people have a hard time telling if you are in a good mood or just batpoops nuts. Being crazy helps and I recommend it to people all the time... It has its drawbacks, like getting nets thrown over you, or having to escape from padded vans wearing garments with oddly long sleeves, but the benefits like laughing to yourself and being able to understand talking animals is a great sanity saver... There is something wrong with that statement... I'm not entirely sure what, but when I get some time I'll think about it. Well, I have to go sew some bullet holes in my pantomime gorilla costume closed before I go to Walmart.   I hope you feel better... Try and watch something fun or distracting tonight and try not to think of anything sad... In times like these, night time is always the hardest... Especially if you have no working lightbulbs in your apartment, because not only do you feel more depressed, but you trip over stuff and get all bruised or full of cactus needles... Well, that's if you are an avid cactus collector. I never heard you mention a cactus collection, but for most people that is a private matter, so whatever you collect, broken bottles, cactus or rusty bayonets, just be careful in the dark... Think about happy fun times and nothing sad like how bad a hobby collecting rusty bayonets is... Be well KW.

Is harder tho when ppl are looking to you to be in charge or do something for them, seems to amplify the disconnect between feeling and doing :)

Well, actually if a guy in a gorilla costume tells you to do something at least you know where you stand... Think of half the people out there who are in charge, or supposed to be making important decisions, but aren't wearing their gorilla costume because they like to pretend they are sane when in fact they are double dipped chocolate-caramel batpoops nuts, with extra sprinkles... That's the guy you don't trust, because he is clearly insane and stupid enough to think he is fooling everyone into believing he is competent, where everyone around him knows his game, except perhaps his boss who is too busy playing the same cards too... In the very least the guy in the gorilla costume gets a compassionate "poor silly bastard", while the guy in a suit gets angry hateful "stupid ignorant $&@€!?#ing son of $@!?#¥ bastard!!!" ...   There is a greater disconnect if one feels they are being mislead... If you are on your first day at work and the person showing you around walk you to an office and says "This is Kurt, he is in charge of this division and he'll be your supervisor..." And you see Kurt is sitting a a desk covered with 87,000 troll dolls, he reeks of badger and he's wearing a neon green tutu with a Viking helmet encrusted with elbow macaroni, you'll be like "Ooooooh..kay... I see..." And from day one you really aren't much surprised by anything that comes out of that office... Bam- you are connected... But if on the other hand you walk in and Kurt is sitting at a neat desk with family pictures and framed diplomas and certificates of alleged sanity and competence on the walls, and Kurt is wearing a tasteful suit and smells of expensive cologne and give you a overly firm handshake, later when you figure out how really bad he is at being a human being and making rational decisions, you'll be all pissed off because there was an expectation of sanity and competence... That's when you hear the click and realize there's a disconnect... You are like "really, what the hell man... What's going on here... How could this fool have graduated clown college, let alone Harvard... This sucks..." Whereas with Neon green tutu Kurt, all you are surprised by is how he managed to fit all 87,000 troll dolls into his office.   And guaranteed there is a much higher chance troll doll Kurt will be a much nicer person too... He can focus his efforts on performing his job and being a decent person instead of trying to prove he knows better than everyone... In the end there is a higher chance of you following obviously crazy Kurt to the very gates of hell because you know that when the devil sees him coming, the party is over, but suit and tie Kurt would get you killed right out of the gate and blame it on you...

Unless you mean trying to maintain a front while trying do a job... I suppose that could also be what you meant... Yeah, that would make more sense... You meant that it's harder to focus and maintain a connection to your tasks and coworkers because the emotional stress just amplifies the detachment from reality that one feels in that situation.

Hmm... Okay, never frikin mind crazy troll doll Kurt or his alternate universe suit wearing double... I probably should think about what someone meant before writing long responses... well... Let's just save that thought for when it might apply... If ever.

    Good night.

I'm thinking about using a password manager/generator?  Any suggestions?

I use Norton Identity Safe.  It comes with the security suite, which I get free through Comcast, but Identity Safe itself is free.  And now it has a link to their password generator.  I've used it, it's easy and really cool, actually.  But I'm not sure if the free version is the same.  It's an encrypted safe on my hard drive for mine, but the blurb for the free one seems to indicate that the safe is on a secure cloud-based server.  That might be an option, I don't know.  Norton Identity Safe.

...well finally solved the connectivity issues for the workstation.  Spent over 40 min just updating my AV.  Now DLing and installing a lot of stuff from Daz that backed up while it was offline (forgot I picked up all those special bundles during the PC sale).

Will deal with all the Windows stuff tomorrow and most likely Monday (lots of research and reviewing to do, last I need to to find that Win 10 installed and messed my whole system up).

...sigh, Well, the fantastic season for Iowa came to a very bitter end as Sparty (Michigan State) did what they managed to do pretty much all season, pull a win out of their butts after another rather lackluster game on their part.  No time for Iowa to come back short of a miracle play like what Green Bay pulled off Thursday night in Detroit.

So much for the CFP, have no dogs in this year's fight as it will be Clemson, Alabama (again), Oklahoma, and Sparty.

At least Wisconsin will most likely make the Holiday Bowl.

    ...Leela drop.

This is with G3F and the Josie7 character which I picked up for almost nothing up during last month's Flash Sales.

Bloody almost looked like my little musical demolitionist "out of the box", even was the exact same height.

Most of the time was spent working on the skin texture as I used the 3DL maps and manually converted/adjusted them since the Iray maps were too dark for her complexion.  Really hoping for a Skin Builder Pro update which would make life a little easier (and less expensive not having to buy a lot of characters just to get different skins).

    In my new place!!!! laugh

It's a little cubbyhole but has a nice TV, fast wireless, a big fridge, a nice bed, and a SOFA!! Yesssss, I can have someone come over and not make them sit on the floor!! In theory it opens into a bed too.. woot.. maybe find a gf lololol!!

Move in was smooth, I'm on the ground floor so no stairs, and I can just *barely* hear my upstairs neighbors.. this place is all concrete and steel.  My earplugs won't even get challenged by the noise level lolol!

I see the place for the crock pot, and in a few minutes I'm heading out to check out the area and go get a crock pot and supplies to fill it with!!!  The 2 burner range is perfect and there's a big micrwave and large sink.  The bathroom is large, larger than the ValuePlace Inn where I was living last I was in Austin.  The overall room is smaller, but I feel warm and snug and happy.  And it's just meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! laugh

Time to go out i search of lunch, crock pots, and chicken wings!  Catch you all laterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! cool

I'm glad to hear you got a new home, or home-like abode... It sounds nice and probably isn't haunted or anything like that... Although about 76% of all really nice and affordable apartments and condos are either haunted, infested with some type of demonic entities or located on the rim of an active volcano... I'm sure yours is not.   Probably.  Well, definitely not the volcano one, because currently there are no active volcanoes in Texas, especially Austin, that I'm aware of... Even at the new Lava Estates by Searight... That's only a bubbling lava field with no actual cone or crater... But it's conveniently located down the road from the Walmart supercenter over on West Slaughter Lane...  Which I have to admit is a very murdery sounding road... Only surpassed by Bloody Axe Murder Boulevard over in South Lamar or Disembowlment Avenue in Rosedale (formerly North Murderville).  But don't worry the odds of your new place being located on an ancient burial ground or being infested with various kinds of demons or malicious evil spirits are extremely low...  More or less... I think... I'm really bad at math. 24% is fairly high... Right?  I hear Teminex now does exorcisms, so in the unlikely event your place is haunted, you could alway call them and they'd probably spray it or set out some demon grade glue traps or something and everything would be just fine. Probably.  My friend called them in Orlando and the roaches actual robbed the guy who showed up... But those are Florida cockroaches... They are... "Special"...   But anyway, I'm glad you're happy with the place, haunted or not and its great to hear you are looking into buying a CrocPot... In Florida they call them GatorGrills... Or maybe that's more like the George Foreman grill... Who'd want grill George Foreman? He seems like a nice fellow... He's on those late night commercials for crazy people looking to get their stupid inventions marketed to other crazy people, so he must be nice... Who knows, maybe he is really tasty, or else they wouldn't have made a grill to cook him on.  I'm also happy to hear your place is mostly concrete and steel... That's good, not just because you won't need your earslugs, but in case of a Godzilla attack or tornado... Are your earslugs store bought or from a previous residence? Store bought earslugs come with the cords attached in case they go too deep and I recommend them over the kind you pick up in hotels and falling asleep in urine soaked alleys behind seedy bars and other drinking establishments... Those can crawl in really deeply and do some serious damage to your brain... Luckily I managed to get mine out with a rusty fondue fork before they did any major damage.   I think... Probably. Well, I hope you enjoyed your chicken wings, the chickens had a hell of a time with them, so hopefully you enjoyed them just as much... Good luck and congrats on your new place.

If this place is haunted or home to any angry astral spirits, well, I can deal with those myself.  Had to before, it's not a huge deal.

No volcanoes, which is actually too bad as it would make barbequing a LOT easier.  There's no place to set up a smoker.. le sigh.

Thanks! laugh It's a major step up from the Tulsa place, so far no hookers, pimps, or drug dealers.  It's faintly annoying to be coming home from the bar and getting hit up on by two hookers.. hard to find a nice way to tell them certain body parts are non-functional (lol)!

Although the 7-11 coffee is acceptable (si[[ing some now), I will eventually need a small one-shot coffee maker for weekends. I thinkI see a place where I can put one, right behind the laptop on the desk here. Jusr need to organize a bit, maybe in a week or two I'll be ready.

No decent bars within walking distance, though, still means a bus ride towards downtown!  That encourages me rto stay home, saves money lol! cheeky

..thanks,  Yeah was really surprised when I loaded her in. Dropped in the height guide I use and she's exactly 5' 2" (which is Leela's height).  Also got the set of fit clones and smoothers so I can fit V4/M4 and Genesis clothing as well.  Just wish I could do the same for skins as they changed the structure of the skin maps so now older skins won't work. One nice thing though, there are fewer skin MAT zones to deal with.

She poses and morphs quite nicely, used a Genesis 2 pose and only had to make a few minor adjustments to the hands.  Creating expressions from scratch has definitely been improved with the extra facial polys.

Still going to be a WIP project for a while until more supportive content like an updated Growing Up morphs, Ethnic morphs, Petite Morphs and as I mentioned, some kind of Skin Builder (or Texture Conversion) tool as well as a Skin Overlay resource comes out.
