Is it possible to to "redownload" packages in DIM ?

Lets say I have installed everything and I checked the "Delete package after install", so now I have all content installed and all packages are deleted, is there a way to make DIM download the packages after this, without having to reinstall everything ?

(Installed content+packages use a crazy amount of disk space, but that is taken care of now and I would like to have a backup of the zip files, but it's no fun to download each one manually, I guess I could reinstall them but download time+installtime adds up a lot)

You could set an alternate download location for DIM, then it will show all as undownloaded. You may have to set a new manifests location as well.

It use the manifest files to keep track of that so it will not work, the dowload location is empty as it has been deleted)

    Looks like this would work:

    1. Backup manifest files as they have the installed status

    2. Delete manifest files

    3. Run DIM uncheck "Install after download"

    4. Let it download everything

    5. Stop DIM and restore the original manifest files so it think everything is installed again

You can also change the location of your manifest folder in the Installation tab of DIM's settings.

  • Moved to Technical Help as it is not a Daz Studio application topic.
