iray-hdr-outdoor-environments - how to load them

I'm using DS 4.8 and I can't find the files in the libraries to load the outdoor-environments into the scene.

The product file contains:

- light presets

- support

- textures

Do I have to load any background prop first?

There aren't any, the environments are the textures. When you click on one of the light presets, that loads the environment into the parameter in Render Settings>Environment>Environment Map.

One thing to watch for is you should do a low-quality test render before doing your final render, to make sure your figure's feet and any props in the scene are actually resting at "ground" level.

What SpottedKitty said. Although not strictly just textures. More a lighting environment with a 360 degree view. And the best way to do this testing is via the Draw Style menu.

and check that Draw Dome in ON in the render settings under Environment. I don't have these so I can't say that it is on by default.
