The big thing that I love about that product in my link is the variety of examples it comes with.
I went through and loaded each example (pose file) and stored each of them as dials on the rig itself, so that I can dial the strength up and down during animations. It's Awesome!
It also comes with three lengthy performance captured speeches, which I've made into aniBlocks, which I cut out parts and make mini aniBlocks that I can mix and match on the gizmo for natuaral-looking expressions.
Example: The minor facial actions in this video are all using 'blank areas' of one of those performances - so I get very subtle moth movements always going on and naturally blinking eyes.
Since I've made the other example poses into dials, I can also manipulate everything else by hand - like expressions, eyes looking side-to-sdie, up and down, etc.,
It has a Lot of example poses that are at full strength, which isn't overly useful and got a lot of flack over. Turn those into dials and we have micro musculature facial activity controls!
This isn't the best example, because these were 'quick' videos, but the stuff I'm working on not has a lot more involved - and is really fun to work in this way. What I haven't done yet is to see if this gizmo also works on 8.1, and/or if my dials and aniBlocks work on the 8.1 gizmo that comes with 8.1
I'm with Dartanbeck on this, the Face Controls product is 100% worth its money because of the excellent expressions that come with it. They're a little strong by default, but you can easily dial those down or mix/match with Puppeteer.

Face Controls for G8.1 are included in the Starter Essentials. Surprisingly, I don't see an equivalent for G9.
As below ~ load the control rig to the figure (G8.1 ONLY.)
And no such a control rig on G9 by now because G9 has separate attachment of Eyes... not easy to control I presume.
The FACS controls are available through Power Pose for Genesis 9
And for genesis 3 & 8 with This Product

I'll try and check that out soon and report back.
