Broken Mail link

Hi, I got this Mail:

zigzag commented on [Released] ManFriday's Mesh Grabber [Commercial] Follow the link below to check it out: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/8537691#Comment_8537691 Have a great day!

___

But first it redirected me to my account management page and after I manually loaded the forum, it does redirect me to "page not found".

I think the error in the url is already the /comment/ Because a thread isn't a comment. Why did a automated system break? I had a similar issue with 2 Amazon emails.

The first was a url who was https/https/ The url was just broken. And the second automatically created email from them was like "Hello (customer name)," Why are automated emails systems breaking, do the devs use AI to "improve" them or why is the stable system now broken?

Edit: Manually researched the thread: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/372546/released-manfriday-s-mesh-grabber-commercial#latest So it's indeed "/discussion/comment/" when you link directly to a comment, that's weird, so it doesn't load the thread id, it load the comment id. However, because of that, it's broken, because it looks like the comment got deleted and that's why the link isn't working.

I don't believe that is a URL error but probably that comment was deleted after the notification was sent and before you clicked on it. It is a bit odd that the email notifications use the comment link rather than the thread link, however, I guess the other solution would also be confusing.

For example, the latest comment in that thread can equally be linked to and automatically brought into focus via either link:

Both of these would work the same in an email notification - however, if the second one was used and that comment deleted then it would take you to the top of the last page of the thread but then you would scroll down and see that there was no new comment.

So probably not good either way.

The initial showing of the login page is probably because the comment would actually be visible if you were a mod/admin and so it needed to check your access before it knew what to show you.
