Rearranging Studio

I've been meaning to ask these for ages, but somehow never got around to it.

1. By default, Studio has a top left pane, and a bottom left pane, each with their own tabs. If you merge them, there doesn't seem to be a way to make a new pane/tab section again short of resetting the entire workspace to the default, which isn't the layout I'm trying to make anyway. Is there a way to do this? (let's say for example you want Content Library | Scene | Viewport | Surfacesetc all side by side across your screen, all in their separate tab groups to be visible at the same time.)

2. Sometimes (esp. in the Actor section) Morphs display as big boxes that have smaller, vertical sliders and waste a ton of space. Is there a way to make them not do that?

3. Is there a way to save a morph to always apply globally (in this case Eye Cornea Bulge to 1) ? I'm pretty sure I can set it for one character via saving the new morph preset or fiddling around with the ever confusing EFC freeze, but would I have to do it for every single base I have, or is there a way to just do it once?

  • 1. With the pane floating, drag it by the frame (not the tab) until it is roughly where you want it - once correctly placed a bar of the highlight colour should appear in the slot it will occupy. Drop the pane and it should dock as a new group. If this isn't working make sure that Window>Workspace>Lock Docking/Undicking isn't checked.

    3. Change the default value in Parameter Settings (the gear icon on the slider), without changing anything else in the figure, and then File>Save as>Support Assets>Save Modified Assets. Do remember, however, that a product update will overwrite your changes.

    Oh, that works perfectly. I was dragging by the tab thinking the borders just resized: missed the inbetwen that gives you the fourway arrow.
