Why does frame duration change?

So I have along animation shot that goes onlike 600 or 800 frames. I close it down for the day and when I reopen the next day the max length of the project is only 200 or 300 frames.  I have to manually increase that to 6-800 and suddenly those latter frames are restored along with any animation keyframes they had.  Why does this happen? Why doesn't the project reopen to the same frame length as when I shut it down?

Depends on the length of the growing season where you live.

(Sorry, couldn't resist a joke.  I guess you meant to type "frame" in the title question?)

Doh!...and corrected. We all know farm duration is determined by big-agra.

  • Which application and version is this?

Ihad this happen in 4.6 with the full animate, usually when I'd trim the animation down lower than the default 30 frames. I would open the scen and it would add as many frames on the end as needed to get to 30 or 60 or whatever. This would then throw off my whole animation as it tweened to the new frames. :(

I haven't messed with animation much since.
