How to move a figure into a special folder?

I have so many figures now and I don't know which is Gen 9s, 8s, or whatevers. Unless I already remember the figure, I have to load up the basic figure for that model (except there is no basic Gen 9 figure) and get a list of figures for that model. I would like to seperate them in my Smart Content tab into seperate Gen folders. For instance, Figures>People>Female>Gen 8, or Gen 9, etc. Is there a way to do that?

Technically, yes. You may add user-defined Category from "Categorize..." as the attached SS and assign it to the character preset.
And you may also filter generation by keyword in Smart Content instead of creating Category...
Well, it does look easy. But...(yep, there's a but) you forgot to mention how to create a folder to assign the figure to.
When you're categorizing, right-click on the parent category and choose "Create New Subcategory".
That works for folder in the Content Library. But it doesn't work in the Smart Content section.
You need to do the categorizing in the Content Library, then Smart Content should use the new category. Is it not showing the item at all, or showing it but not in the new category?
FYRef.
Okay, I need to clarify something first. Do I need to look up the figure somewhere in the Content Library, create a folder somewhere in that folder, then catergorize it, and then be able to see it on the Smart Content section?
No, you don't. Just create user-defined Category first, then assign it to a selected item by using Categorize.
And searching a product from Smart Content is faster than in Content Library...
I agree about it being faster to look up something from Smart Content. But the question is, how do I create an user-definded Category? The only thing I can find is info on creating the folder/category in the Content Library, not in Smart Content.
Ah ? I've already posted 4 screenshots above to show how to create user-defined Category in Smart Content. Pls carefully go it thru.
Well, bend me over and kick me in the seat. For some stupid reason I thought it was for the Content Library. But you gave exactly what I was looking for, even though my fist screen didn't look like yours, I had to choose 'default' to get started. But it's up and running now.
Thank you for your help and patience. Have a great New Years and party like it's 1999!
No problem at all, sir ! Happy new year 2024 !
