When new Daz Cat?

It was year of the cat this year (ending in February). It would have been the perfect year to have launched a new Daz cat since cats also have 9 lives as they say. We've got a new Dog 8 and a new Horse 3, but we are still on the same old cat. Really makes me think Daz top brass does not like cats. I think we should post pics of cats in this thread until we get a new official cat.

    Well, technically, https://www.daz3d.com/daz-house-cat-with-dforce-hair is newer than Daz Dog 8.

    Agreed... and the cat you posted originated from my country. It's a Li Hua ~  The mother of my Munchkin is a Lihua as well.smiley

    Well yeah, but you've been here longer than me, you know that re-released Daz cat was just an iray fur update to the old cat that's been in the store forever. Which is why they didn't even update the version number to Daz Cat 8. We need a new cat with new geometry, better posing, expressions, different breeds, etc. And I'm aware there is a better cat at a 3rd party site, and that is a great cat, but its still not as good as what we have with Daz Dog 8 and all the breed options. We need an equivalent official Daz Cat released and supported with all the extras. And this is not a cat vs dogs thing, I love cats and dogs and own all the Daz Dog 8 and all the breeds, but it would be nice to have a realistic cat to go with him. The updated iray fur cat just doesnt look that good.
