How to contact artists re licences

Hello, I am struggling to find a way to contact artists to see if their models can be used in games, if they can't without a $500 fee on top of the models then I don't want to waste money on the models.

For example, RawArt has a number of sale items but I can't find any contact info

thanks!

He is one of the PAs that do offer a Game Dev license.   http://www.daz3d.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=Game+developers+license

Without the gmae dev license you cannot use anything from the DAZ 3D store in games.  And ypu will need a Daz 3D license, plus licenses for any individual PA whose items you use.  If the PA does not offer a license it is because they do no want their products to be used in games.

Basically, the models that can be used in games are Daz Originals, with the Game Dev license purchase and selected PAs who have additional Game Dev licenses...

And RawArt does have a game dev license...so to use any of his stuff, in  a game, you would need that...and I'm not sure if it covers everything or not.  Plus, you would probably need the regular DAZ Game Dev license, as this just covers Raw's 100% original creations...not morphs or charcters for a Daz base model.

  • Thanks guys, I am OK with the DAZ game dev licence as you can get the Indie version for $350 if you are in the Platinum Club, I was after a way to find out if there is a licence per artist and your info has helped me track them down and avoid purchasing something I wouldn't be able to use in game without a large fee :)

If you buy the Daz #d Game dev license you are only allowed to use products that show DAZ 3D as one of the vendors.

    Have you investigated https://www.morph3d.com/

Hi yes I started with that but the content is minimal (promising but minimal).  I'm aware of the DAZ vendor licence limitation thanks, that's why I wanted to know how to find if non-Daz vendors have their own licences for games :)  I see morph3d is maturing as they move from beta to live so I can revisit that, I did have trouble getting it to work with some other Unity assets but will try with the new release
