Sue Yee Everyday Long Hair Materials Issue

I recently bought Sue Yee's Everyday Long Hair for G8 and g9 and it doesn't let me apply any Iray color.

It seems like "Invalid hierarchy for selected node(s) and "preset_hierarchical_material" type; no root(s) found." is the main problem...

help?

 

UPDATE:

If I load the hairstyle by itself (not onto a character) is when I get the error; as long as the hairstyle is on a character, the iray colors load as intended.

    It seems that you load the hair to no parent. You should first load a G8F into the scene, load the hair to the figure. Then select the hair or the figure before applying hierarchical material presets.
