Makeup on 'other' skins.

Hi

Question regarding the use of makeup presets.

How can I use a makeup preset of one character (say Victoria7) on another character (say Octavia).

They have different skintones and the face drastically changes color compared to the rest of the character.

Any help would be appreciated.

Short answer is that if the makeup is painted on the face texture, then you can't. However, if the makeup is applied using the layered image editor (LIE) then the makeup presets should apply on top of your character's skin. Some makeup sets and character sets use the LIE but not very many.

A makeup preset included with a character will simply apply a new version of that character's texture with the makeup painted on it. So it can't be applied to another character.

For that you'd need to use makeup based on the Layered Image Editor, like those for example: http://www.daz3d.com/extreme-closeup-makeup-for-genesis-3-female-s

Those add an overlay to the base character's skin so they can work on multiple characters.
