How to convert Genesis2 boots to fit Genesis3?

I purchased some boots for Genesis2 recently, but would like to apply the boots to Genesis 3 model.

Can this be done?

I have tried the fit to UI the boots won't fit the feet properly weven when the feet morphs are used first>

Please advise

Do you mean that you tried this using Autofit?   Genesis 2 and Genesis 3 are completely different figures, and Autofit should help to get the boots to fit, but you may need to try and position the botts to the righr place, then parent them to the figure.

If you're using DS and want to convert from Gen2 to Gen3...

Load the figure you wish to convert to.

Have it selected in the scene tab.

Go to the content library and load the boots.

An autofit dialogue should pop up.

In the top box where it says unsupported click and select the gen2 female clone

In the box below click and select footwear(there may be a boots option also you will need to check.

Click on accept and the item should be converted.

You may need to add smoothing if the item doesn't already contain it and play with the settings to get the best results.

When converting shoes to genesis I used to change the weight from .5 to .7 but you will need show hidden on to see that. I also used to play with the smoothing type as depending on what you're converting will depend on the best setting.

I haven't had much luck converting shoes with heels between the various generations.  Flat shoes aren't bad, but there is still some warping.  I have used Sickleyield's products to help with the conversion and I still have problems.  The shoes just warp. I've given up on that and bought the shoes for the right figure.

High heels are harder to convert. That's most likely due to weight mapping issues imho...models that have things that project out from the figure tend to have more problems. On the android or I would post an image of what I'm talking about.
