Rendering Error only on one particular character

Hey guys!

after downloading the newest version of Daz, I am not able to render one of my characters -  see attached file.

The error log outputs this error - see attached file.

and Daz subsequently locks up and I have to close it down either on the task bar or in task manager.

What could cause this error in connection with ONLY this character? while I am not systematically gone through all of my characters, I haven't had this problem with any other scenes other than the few she is in. Is it texture-related? I didn't add anything to her that all of the rest of my characters don't have.

regards,

anti

ps. I know I could try porting over all the morphs and textures to a new character, but I like her the way she is now, and some of the morphs get lost sometimes while saving in different formats, such as "shape" or "character". This specific instance of her is saved as a subscene.

  • Is the hair by Out Of Touch, or using their custom hair shader? Make sure, if so, that it has no maps assigned to Transmitted Colour in the Editor tab of the Surfaces pane.

  • @Richard, I did actually manage to get her to work by deleting the hair and THEN switching to iray in the viewport. The weird thing about that though, is that I had previously attempted to delete every graft I added to the character and that didn't work. Only by specifically deleting the hair in the end, after several hours of trying to save various parts of her individually, it finally worked. I will keep that in mind when using OOT hair. I just loaded in another older character I had in my folder with... OOT hair, and that didn't work either. Thank you for the tip! :-D but I have to ask, why would that suddenly make DAZ not want to render the hair? I already rendered 10 images and 1 video with Harley in a quite demanding environment.
