Does Genesis 3 work on Daz Studio 4.6?

That's the version I have. I'm not sure if DS 4.8 or whatever the Iray one is can work on my laptop. I want to know for sure if I need to download the newer one beforehand.
Also, is there a way to completely unistall DS, like remove everything so I can start over? I need to reorganize my content folders.
I apologize if this is in the wrong section. It's been awhile since I've last used DS. I practically feel like a newbie now. XD

If 4.6 works, I doubt there is anything about DAZ 4.8 itself that won't work on your laptop. You may not be able to do Iray renders with it, but 3DeLight works the same way on both, as far as I know.
If you are going to install 4.8 and you think you may want to go back to 4.6, then make sure that you have a backup copy of the installer, as you wont be able to get that again through the store.
Installing a new version of DAZ Studio does not affenct the content in any way. After you have reinstalled or reorganised your content folders, just amke sure that DS knows where they are in Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager.
Iray can work with CPU only and does not require an nVidia card to use it. It will be a lot faster with an nVidia card, but it can still be used.
G3M with default skin works in Studio 4.6. I just tested it.
Not going to download G3F for that system but there is no reason to think it won't as well.
All the Genesis 3 Male and Female stuff I have used in Studio 4.7 works OK except a couple of characters that load with Iray as default textures and they crash my Studio, so I deleted their Iray folders.
I've had no issues with Genesis 3 in 4.6
Since I have never used any higher version I couldn't say what the difference or missing functions there would be, but suspect that what's missing in 4.6, is only related to Iray
you could install the Beta 4.8. I was told that's the only way to have 4.6 & 4.8. I have not tried that, I pretty much know 4.8 will have issues on my machine
the only problems you may find, and may not be problem, will be material textures, if the product was created with only Iray in mind may have a problem rendering in 3Delight. I haven't run into that yet, with what I have picked up so far, everything has had materials for both Iray and 3delight
She looks a little like Victoria 4.0 here, in DAZ Studio 4.6, but nothing that a little work with the Surfaces Tab, lighting, etc. couldn't improve, if so inclined. As others have said, the only thing that you can't use will be Iray and associated Iray materials.
Well, I was going to post a render, but Windows seems to have eaten it (after I closed the scene without saving, of course). Trust me, DS 4.6 and G3F works better than this buggy operating system.
