whats wrong with fbx and geografts?

I was under the impression that geografts was something that was working in daz as far as exporting to blender or unity, or at least it did using fbx and now the bridges.

So what is going on? .why did it stop working, originally though it was a daztoblender issue, but realised after a while exporting to fbx does not work either. (this is not hair or render related), and video drivers have been updated. and again this worked before the last update...

so one gets the impression, that something is going on on the daz end, since this particular issue has happened in the past, after stopping to support a version and updating their software, the fbx started corrupting the output when a geograft was used...same pentagon shape, garbled mesh formation , same issue, and this is a cpl of years ago...

I also noticed on a few posts that some people are having similar problems, and one of the first questions the user will be asked is, are you using geografts, but there is no information added to explain what the issue is.

Can someone please give me some information on that, cause id be feeling you know exactly what that means...or perhaps?

  • This is an issue in the current General Build, 4.20.0.1. The current Public Build (beta), 4.20.0.7, has had some work in this area and is, I believe, working.

  • omg, i must of sent 3-4 tickets for this, lol

    I just installed the beta, seems to work ok.

    im still confused on why it would of just stopped working tho, since it was working in previous version before the update,

    my goodness, this could of been much more user friendly,,but anyhoo.
