Part of clothes not rendering

Hi All

I am a bit of a newbie but have been progesssing with creating scenes. I have a strange thing that has not occured before that I am struggling to cure. I have a figure were I have adjusted the cloting using the Fit Control and all looks ok in Texture Shaded view as well as Iray. But when I render there is a gap/hole in the clothing where the skin is showing through. I enlarged the clothing a bit to try prevent show through even though there is none evident in the views. I also extended my render time from 4 hours to 5 but I still get the same result. Anyone had a similar problem?

  • If the underlying figure uses any displacement, this could cause pokethrough in a render that won't show up in preview. That's one possibility hard to say more without more information.

    Fastest & dirtiest way to fix it is to switch off the visibility of the bone concerned (assuming it's totally hidden by clothing). For example, if the model's elbow is showing through a long-sleeved shirt, make their arms invisible. That may or may not be appropriate to your specific problem.

    Also having higher SubD for rendering than the viewport, may cause pokethrough that shows only when rendered.
