Export to FBX not working on Studio 4.22, how do i fix this?

Had no problems in 4.21, suddenly in 4.22 doesn't work [FBX] it says Error exporting. How do i fix this?

    Error exporting file: C Exception: Memory Access Violation - Attempted to read memory at address 0x6254fe70

    I guess it's a bug     cause I have plenty of memory and the 4.21 daz could do it easily so what is talking about?

     

  • Was it a figue with GeoGrafts? What happens if you try something without?

    Hi thanks for answering. nope. NOt even a figure, it was an Object. A Human but an OBJ file from Blender imported to DAZ. and i usually in 4.21 used to easily Export to FBX ( 2014 binary) with no problems.  It makes me want to go back to 4.21 except, there's no more decimator ( bought but i don't know why a non of the versions i have work for 4.21) available for that version. So i dont' know what to do. I don't even understand a simple Export of FBX doesn't work. You have any idea why it doesn't work?

  • FBX has been having issues in theis build, but I thought mainly when there were geoGrafts. Please report this via a support ticket, attaching the object if possible.

    I just uninstalled 4.22 and reinstalled 4.21( just cause i'm done with Decimator for now i did like 30 characters i not gonna need it for now). And i'm doing some decimating in Blender( i just do Figure decimation in Daz but all rest decimation in blender) and converting to OBJ then bringing to Daz to convert to FBX. I dont know why maybe you can do it in Blender too but i want to do it in Daz and plus i don't know the settings in Blender.

    Anyways,  i exported in 4.21 to FBX . No problems at all. And i'm doing the same thing as 4.22. I wonder why it errors in 4.22

  • I have a similar error, and the problem is probably with the export module. It does not export the character either through the bridge or the export menu, only the hair and clothes. It worked in 4.21. I just sent them a bug ticket. The only annoying thing is that I spent a lot of time debugging.

  • I have not used the FBX exporter in yonks because the DAZ2Unreal bridge does much better FBX exports

    so unaware of the issues

    maybe try that (it does an FBX as well as a DTU file)

  • I also used Unreal Bridge and was happy with it. However, it does not work normally in 4.22, so I tried the plain export.

  • DazToUnreal has the same issue, and what you'll probably find is that the base skin mesh is being exported as a bone in the FBX hierarchy for whatever reason. If it's happening with the baseline FBX exporter that's probably why DazToUnreal is also failing - since it's likely using the base exporter in it's pipeline.

    I was having the issue (via DazToUnreal) with all figures regardless of geografts. I gave up and reverted back to 4.21 until it's sorted since I found no work-around.

    Hello. Can I ask how you reinstalled 4.21 please, because Im having huge problems with 4.22 and trying to export to blender characters with geographs. It was perfect in 4.21 

  • In principle, it is enough to copy the dzfbxexporter.dll from 4.21 and the export also works in 4.22. I tried Daz-to-Unreal bridge, and after smooth export it was fine in Blender as well.

    actualy FBX seems to be working OK for me to my apps

    (not tried Unreal)

    is working to iClone 6 3DX6, Twinmotion Community build and Win10 3D viewer

    but of course I have not tried geografts lately either

    Not working for me, Only exports dress mesh and weird geometry instead of genesis model. I was working on a project with date due today and don't have the backup of older version of DazStudio. Checked the Collada export option too, its also broken. Anyone with a tip please... 

  • I have the same problem with fbx, error and no file is exported

      • Fixed a crash in Geometry Editor when invoking the context menu while selecting between a skeleton with bones and a skeleton without bones
