iray motion blur in a still image

hi y'all,

i have a scene with a car and i want the tires to have motion blur on them to indicate that the car is in motion in my still image..

anybody know how to achieve that ?

    Many ways. I would use PD Howler's radial blur with a blurred selection mask - but that's me.

    I have done exactly that:
    My trick was tomake a render of the tire only. Use a front or side camera. Take your render to photoshop and apply a radial blur filter. Map this render on a cylinder, or a donut shape and replace your tire.
    I did this on a bycicle here:

    Cool idea!

    Yeah, I am no longer familiar with PS actions, but in PD Howler, I just bring in my render, make my selection, blur the selection, then deselect anything that I don't want to get the blur - like the bike frame in your example. Then just apply a radial blur and, most often gradually undo the action around, say 30% or so. But I'm not rendering the background at the same time, so that would make a difference.

    FYI - I've never used it. I animate, so I use Fusion to add my motion blur.
