Daz Studio Crash - DAZStudio.exe caused ACCESS_VIOLATION at 0033:000000002095EFBF
Hello folks,
I hope someone can help me, because I'm really desperate. I was able to render without any problems until a few hours ago & without me consciously changing anything, my DazStudio just crashes. This happened deliberately when I wanted to load a hairstyle into the scene. After a little googling, I found out that Daz Studio 4.22 has problems with a few hairstyles. However, I now have the problem that Daz Studio crashes about 10 seconds after starting, as soon as I click ANYTHING, with the error message from my headline. I have updated Windows drivers as a result. Updated the graphics card driver. Reinstalled it, on one HDD, one SSD. Nothing. I even deleted all my content to have a really "clean" installation. But still the same error.
Error message: DAZStudio.exe caused ACCESS_VIOLATION at 0033:000000002095EFBF
I have really rendered without any problems so far. Yesterday, however, I updated to version 4.22.
I have a GTX4080, an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor, 32GB Ram. As I said, it always ran without any problems on Windows 11.
I also have no idea what the error message means. I hope someone can help me.
Kind regards,
Felix.

Does it not say what module it was in? Are you getting the native crash rport, with an option to save a zipped up set of reports, or is this a generic operating system, report? Is this happening even with an empty scene? Have you tried uninstalling and doing a clean reinstall of the driver - in case the previous crashes caused an issue in that?
Hi Richard,
thanks for the quick reply. No it does not show a module, that is the entire error. In my google research people were still showing a module or DLL. Not mine and yes it crashes without a scene. I can start Daz, as soon as I make my first mouse click it crashes. Ich hefte mal meine Zip Fehlerdatei an. Hope this helps, hope this is the right file.
After the crashes occurred, I did windows updates & graphics card driver update. So they were installed afterwards.
I just added a new User to my Windows. There it works perfectly..
So, probably a setting, since the new user will have new almost everything - do you knoww hat DrawStyle the Viewport is set to use? Were there content panes open, and if so which fiolders/categories did they display (bad data has caused crashes before, as I recall). It could also be a corrupt database, since that is per-user.
Nevermind, crashed there too, a few minutes later, now the same. It does not Crash when i start it & don't touch anything. As soon as i'm moving my Mouse, it crashes.
I don't think it's my Database, because i copied everything out of Daz to try, if it some faulty assets. So with an empty Database, it's still happenig & i tried to install it onto my Girlfriends Computer & logged me in there & it worked there fine..
After it crash, look up the log file and see if there is anything useful in it (do not restart Studio), if I remember correct it is in:
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4\log.txt or something like that
Or whatever drive you are using
