Rigid Follow Nodes and Octane don't mix?
I've always had speed problems posing characters wearing items with rigid follow nodes, but recently it's got catastophically bad. Take a G8, fit a garment with follow nodes (say, to attach buttons to a shirt), then move a bone - DS locks up for a minute working out what to do. The only way I could pose such a figure was to unfir their clothing, do the pose, then refit the clothing. Asking around, other people didn't seem to have the same issues, so I asked Dr Google and this is what I found:

It turns out that if I disable the Octane plug in, all my issues with slow follow nodes disappear. I've no idea why this should be the case - I'm not rendering in Octane, or using it for anything at all, sp removing the plugin is no hardship.
Just posting this here so if other folks have the same problem, they can (maybe) find a solution.

What version of the Plugin are you using because that issue was fixed a long time ago.
I'm on 2020.1.0.55. How do I update it?
