what is the best way to make the menu bar go back to the default

i put so many custum actions that daz added an extra step of a drop down to access all the custom actions then after one restart all or most scripts were gone but the drop down remained

whats the best way to start again getting rid of the drop down without losing the scripts under there now, what is the best way to save the scripts so theyll be there next time too?

thanks

  • I don't understand - the Scripts menu, or a category or file folder?

when you click scripts in the menu bar instead of all the custom actions appearing there is a second drop down arrow that must be clicked in order to have the custom actions appear so each time it is an extra step is what I was trying to explain, thanks

I just changed the nlayout which wiped out all the scripts

as soon as i put the rirst custom actions once again when scripts enu is clicked on the action is not there-first there is an extra little tab that must be clicked in order to access any actions-it is an extra drop down

can anyone help me get the scripts menu back to the defualt as this extra drop down is not good

  • Ah, you mean a sub-menu. Just deelte the contents of the Sub-menu box in the Create Custom Action dialogue.

It's the dialogue that opens when you right-click on a file and choose Create Custom Action.

cool that worked, i created an action with no submmenu drop down before it

however the old submenu is still there, is there a way to get rid of it?

    thanks

  • Window>Workspace>Customise, in the Menus tab on the right expand main menus and then the Scripts menu and its sub-menus and just drag things from sub-menus to main menu. When emptied you can right-click on the sub-menus and remove/delete them.
