Hi all
It seems for certain scenes or it may be when I use a specific character model that i get various "failed to save to image: C:users\USERNAME\appdata.... warnings.
The renders still happens but it's just annoying seeing that informaition appear in the progress windows that pops up when rendering.
Any ideas?
Thx

Was it a popup dialog message or you got it from the log? As default, the render result is saved to: C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4\temp\render\. You may check if there's anything wrong with this folder.
Besides, search 'Saved image' in the log to see if the render was 'actually' saved... after the rendering is completed or ceased...
Thx for answering @crosswind.
It's the pop up render window. I will search for the saved image. It's as if the location it wants to save to, doesnt give it rights?
I have two pc's i work on. A work-pc and a render-pc. Both of them whether i do a full render or spot render would show same save error when rendering specific scenes i have setup. So this then trhow
It would appear for the instance i'm seeing now it's not finding"/saving the "black_fabric_roughness but its fro d161...
Oh... if so, the issue might be related to saving 'temporary texture maps' rather than saving a render. Something like 'd159_xxxxx', usually comes from one or multiple layered image(s). Do you use Layered Image Editor to stack texture maps in your scene?
And you may go to: C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4\temp, to check if the temporary texture files are well saved, or open the corresponding channel in Surfaces pane with Layered Image Editor, check and Accept, the temporary file should be saved again. Then try to render to see if there's still error message pops up...
Mmmm... I actually do have a layered texture over the one character model. It's for adding some freckles. Yes i know there are geoshells for freckles etc... but for this char I used a different approach. I'll see if this model is used in all the affected scenes whether she's visible for a render or not.
Thank you for your help.I'll have a look at what you suggest.
